Carol is a graduate of the University of Wyoming. She received her Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University. Carol has been practicing since 1989. For 30 years, she was a clinician and administrator in community mental health in Casper. She specialized in the treatment of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and severe mental illness. She supervised clinicians and programs providing outpatient and residential services.

In 2015, Carol designed and then supervised a medication-assisted treatment program for the treatment of opioid use disorders for outpatient and residential patients. Since 2014, Carol has written several successful federal and state grant proposals for the expansion of mental health and substance use disorder services in Natrona County. She was selected to help write a white paper on procedures for the treatment of opioid use disorder of incarcerated individuals by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in January 2018.

Laura worked for the Wyoming State Hospital for 9 years during which she earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah. She completed the program in 2003. Laura has worked as a therapist since 2005. She loves all animals but specifically horses, cats and dogs. Laura also enjoys fishing and spending time in the mountains during the summer. Other hobbies include cross-stitch, metallic models, and wood models.

Brenda is a Wyoming native, born in Casper. She lived in Salt Lake City for several years before returning to Casper. Brenda has been in the nursing profession since she was 19 years old. She started as an LPN, then completed her Associates and Bachelors degrees in nursing. In 2019, Brenda completed her Masters of Science in Nursing as a PMHNP. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014. Brenda has 3 children, twin boys and a younger brother. They are all teenagers and going off on their own. Brenda’s favorite place to be is outside. She actually likes the wind, Wyoming weather, and driving in the snow.

Sarah received her Masters in Nursing from Walden University in 2019. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, her background includes inpatient and outpatient work as well as experience with adolescents. Sarah has 3 children and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and boating in her free time. She also enjoys traveling.

Dr. Brunson grew up in Idaho Falls and completed his undergraduate education in Rexburg, ID at the University of Idaho. Brunson obtained a Doctorate of Chiropractic in Kansas City where he lived for 3 years.

Wanting more tools to help people, Brunson decided to attend medical school. After attending medical school and completing his residency, Brunson worked for a critical access hospital in Cottonwood, ID specializing in rural medicine. Dr. Brunson and his wife have 7 children ages 1 to 14. In his free time, he enjoys getting outside, ice fishing, and hiking. His family enjoys riding dirt bikes together and getting outside to play.

Dr. Sarah Gailey Grooms is a board-certified pediatrician with twenty-four years of experience providing outpatient medical care for patients from birth through adolescence. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed a residency in Pediatrics at Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Grooms has a special interest in supporting families who wish to provide breast milk for their infants. She has attained training and licensing as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Dr. Grooms grew up in rural North Georgia, then moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she joined a large suburban pediatric practice. She and her husband of thirty-five years raised two children who are now awesome young adults. During family vacations and fly-fishing adventures, she and her husband developed a love for Wyoming. Dr. Grooms is excited to have moved to Casper and looks forward to providing pediatric care for patients at Community Health Centers of Central Wyoming!

After her undergraduate degree, Sara attended a Medical Technology Program in Vincennes, IN from 2005-2006. Sara worked as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist from 2006 to 2012.

Sara completed her Master’s program in Physician Assistant Studies at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2014. She has been practicing medicine now for 7 years. Sara’s past experiences include Family Medicine in Hertford, NC and in Glenrock, WY.

Sara and her husband live in Casper. She is a proud mom to 2 amazing children and a 14 year old Shih tzu. She enjoys spending time with her family above all else. Other interests include traveling, gardening, fishing, boating and hiking.

Whether it be stitching up a laceration or helping a sick patient feel better, he strives to help each patient have a positive experience. He is also fluent in Spanish from living in Puerto Rico for 2 years and enjoys speaking it every chance he gets. When Kyle is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter. They are avid Disney World fans and used to go almost weekly when they lived closer. Some of Kyle’s hobbies include hiking, playing and watching sports, and acoustic guitar.

Val worked as a PA-C at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency from 2000 to 2019. She was Wyoming PA-C of the year in 2007. Val enjoys boating, hunting, and gardening. She also loves to make quilts.

Abby is a Casper native. Her interest in medicine stems from both of her parents working in the medical field and seeing the opportunities and help they were able to provide to their community. Abby graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2016. She went on to obtain a Doctorate in Nursing in 2019. Abby worked as an RN at Wyoming Medical Center for 3 years. Following graduate school, Abby joined the CHCCW Quick Care team. Abby loves the pace and diversity of Quick Care. She has a passion for health and fitness and loves that her interests and career coincide.
