The Community
Health Center of Central Wyoming
(CHCCW), is a federally qualified health center (FQHC), partially
supported by grants from various agencies within the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services (HRSA). A comprehensive range of services
are available, including primary care, mental health and dental
services along with lab, x-ray and pharmacy. Though
CHCCW receives some grant funding through the federal government,
it is not a federally owned clinic. CHCCW is a private, non-profit,
community-owned health care facility.
CHCCW operates
in affiliation with the University of Wyoming through support for
the Family Medicine Residency Program - Casper (UWFMRP). While the
University retains the jurisdiction over educational and training
programs, CHCCW oversees all patient care and clinical operations.
Casper, Wyoming, is the
second largest city in the state, centrally located and readily
accessible from Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT and Billlings, MT.
Casper's population is approximately 50,000 while Natrona County
totals 70,000. The region is medically served by the Wyoming Medical
Center with some 170 physicians on staff.
CHCCW facilities include
the main clinic/training site at 1522 East 'A' Street, the CHCCW
Dental Clinic
- at 1020 South Conwell, and our administrative offices in Cottonwood
Plaza at 907 N. Poplar.
